LABELS - Thermal and thermal transfer
Thermal labels – made of double-sided coated paper, covered with a thin layer of thermoactive material. Under the influence of heat from an appropriate printer, the thermoactive material changes its color to black. This is a quick and convenient type of printing. Thermal labels are characterized by high print quality and resistance to poor storage conditions of the products they are attached to. The acrylic or rubber glue used holds firmly on many materials.
Thermal transfer labels – labels for permanent prints using thermal transfer ribbon. These types of labels are used wherever it is necessary to ensure greater durability of the print. Such labels are necessary when the marked products are exposed to prolonged exposure to sunlight, for example, or when the label is slightly moistened with a liquid. Wax, wax-resin or resin thermal transfer ribbons are used for thermal transfer labels.
